Pet Policy

 

PET POLICY

 

Nexus Property Management reserves the right to establish pet policies and rules that are in the best interest of other residents and the community. No variances from the policy shall be made without authorization from the Vice President. The Resdient is fully liable for all damages caused by the pet. Service dogs are not considered pets by this policy.

 

ACCEPTABLE/UNACCEPTABLE BREEDS

 

Acceptable breeds: Basset hound, Beagle, Bedlington Terrier, Bichon Frise, Border Collie, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brittany, Cairn Terrier, Chihuahua, Chinese Shar-pei, Cocker Spaniel, Collie, Dachshund, Dalmatian, French Bulldog, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Greyhound, Jack Russell Terrier, Labrador Retriever, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Papillion, Pekinese, Pomeranian, Poodle, Pug, Samoyed, Schnauzer, Scottish Terrier, Shih Tzu, Siberian Husky, Welsh Corgi, West Highland White Terrier, Whippet, Yorkshire Terrier, Airedale, American Eskimo, Australian Shepherd, English Bulldog, Irish Setter.

 

Unacceptable breeds: Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Great Dane, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull, Bull Terrier.

 

A District Manager or the Vice President must approve any dog not listed.

 

DEPOSIT AND PET CHARGES

 

A deposit of $300 for one pet and $600 for two pets is required. A monthly pet fee of $25 per pet will be charged.

 

No more than two (2) pets will be allowed.

 

The additional deposit will be used as a credit toward payment for any damages caused by the pet(s). If the cost of repairing any damages caused by the pet exceeds the pet deposit, the tenant’s regular security deposit may be used to cover the excess. The additional monthly rent for all pets will not be used for pet damages. This is a payment for the privilege of maintaining a pet. If a Resident permanently removes the pet from the Premises, the additional monthly rent will cease at the beginning of the following month after written notification is received by the Community Manager. The pet deposit will not be returned until after the resident vacates the apartment, the Community Manager inspects the apartment for damages and all terms of the Lease have been fulfilled.

 

 

 

VETERINARIAN RECORD

 

Residents must show proof that the pet has had a rabies vaccination.

Proof of age and weight by means of Vet certificate or certificate from Animal Rescue League will be required.

 

PICTURE REQUIRED

 

A photograph of the pet(s) must be provided prior to move in.
